Previously, I found myself rather frustrated with my inability to turn the glass door of my Vilia Miniatures armoire into a mirrored door. I tried it all - real mirrors (too thick), acrylic mirror sheets (too thick and cracked/splintered everywhere), silver leaf paint (not reflective enough).
I finally hit upon mirror-finish contact paper.
The mirror paper is glued to the inside of the door frame, behind the glass (I didn't use the sticky backing). This was the best picture of it I was able to take (I am a terrible photographer), but trust me, it looks better.
Also: I previously compared Vilia to Bespaq. Having just re-upholstered my first Bespaq piece (photo in a future post), I'd like to revise that statement. Bespaq makes beautiful, good-quality furniture (and they have a huge variety of designs), don't get me wrong...but frankly, I think Vilia Miniatures' work is a bit better. Miniatures handmade by skilled artisans have a level of quality and fine detail that isn't quite feasible with mass production.
